How do I clean my Myzone belt?

Rinse your strap after after each workout to remove salt from sweat. Once a week, remove the module and machine wash the strap on the gentle cyle. Lay flat to dry.

The salt from your sweat can build up on your Myzone belt and affect its performance and accuracy. Follow these steps to keep your Myzone strap clean and working at its best:

After each use:

Rinse your strap to remove sweat and salt from the sensors.

Once a week (or every five uses):

Give your strap a good clean in the washing machine.

Machine Washing:

  • Remove the module
  • Use a mild detergent - no color fasteners, bleach or fabric softeners
  • Wash on gentle cycle at +40°C/104°F
  • If you can, reduce the spin cycle and use a laundry pouch to prevent belt getting tangled.
  • Do not soak.

Drying your belt:

Hang up your strap or lay it out flat to air dry - don’t use a dryer; it will damage your strap. Don’t overstretch your belt when wet or wring it out. And don’t iron or press it with heat.

How do I clean the module?

Wipe down your module around the snaps to remove salt build-up with a damp cloth. If you use a MZ-Switch, also wipe off the PPG sensor (where the light flashes green on the back) as trace amounts of salt can cause problems as well.  Use water only. Harsh solvents such as rubbing alcohol can breakdown the module material, not just salt.

These small things will keep your Myzone in prime condition for years to come.
